For students and aspirants

Law exam preparation, one day at a time

Day-by-day courses for CLAT, TG LAWCET, AIBE, the Assistant Public Prosecutor exam and the TS Judicial exam. Each day has a lesson and an assignment, with live classes, replays and a reviewer's feedback on what you write.

Registration is free. Fees are one-time, and access to a paid course begins once your payment is confirmed.

Day 18 of 90 in the Legal Smriti app: today's focus "Bail & Anticipatory Bail", a live class marked LIVE NOW with a Join live class button, and an assignment that opens after the class or replay.
Sample screen: a day's lesson, its live class open to join, and the assignment that follows.

Two ways to register

Register as a Student or an Aspirant

Choose the category that describes you. Both have the same access to every course and feature, at the same fees.

  • Student

Build your legal foundation, one day at a time.

    Studying law, on a 3‑year or 5‑year LL.B.

At registration Your college, degree and semester.

  • Aspirant

Preparing for a law entrance exam such as CLAT or LAWCET.

Typically not yet studying law: in Class 12 or Intermediate, studying for a degree, or a graduate.

At registration Your education level and, if you wish, your school or college.

You choose your category once, when you register; it can't be changed later.

A structured daily schedule

A new day opens each day

Your course follows your own calendar, in India time. Day 1 opens on the day your access begins, Day 2 the next day, and so on.

  1. Step 1: Read the lesson

Each day opens with its focus and lesson, and an estimate of the time it needs.

  2. Step 2: Join the live class

Classes run at a fixed time set by the course team and can be joined while they are live. Missed one? Watch the replay.

  3. Step 3: Submit the assignment

Answer the day's questions in your own words and submit them once.

  4. Step 4: Read your feedback

A reviewer publishes your marks, a summary and suggestions.

  5. Step 5: Complete the day

Tap Complete Day on the review to acknowledge it. That completes the day and updates your progress.

How days open

  • From your own start date

Day 1 opens when your access begins: once your payment is confirmed for a paid course, or as soon as you add a free one.

  • No waiting on the day before

A new day opens each day, whether or not you have finished the previous one.

  • Open days stay open

If you fall behind, nothing closes. Every open day stays open, and Home points you to the oldest step you haven't finished.

Live classes and replays

Join the class live, or watch the replay

Live classes run at a fixed time set by the course team, the same for every learner. If you miss one, you can watch its replay.

Live class

  • Join while the class is live: joining records your attendance.
  • A class reminder reaches your notifications 30 minutes before the start.
  • If a class is cancelled, the day says so and its assignment opens straight away.

Replay

  • Missed the class? Watch its replay up to 3 times; the app shows how many you have left before you start.
  • Replays are for missed classes, so a class you attended live has no replay.
  • There is no time limit on replays. They play only in the app or on the website, and course videos can't be downloaded.

Assignments and answer evaluation

Write your answers, get them reviewed

Answering in your own words is part of every day, and a reviewer reads what you wrote.

  • Daily assignments

Each day has an assignment on its topic. It opens once you attend the live class or start its replay, or straight away on a day without a live class. Answer every question, then submit once: a submitted assignment can't be edited.

  • Reviewer feedback

A reviewer reads your answers and publishes your marks, a summary and suggestions on what to work on next. Reviewers see your answers, not your name, and you are notified when your feedback is ready.

  • Answer-writing evaluation

    Introduced gradually

Practise longer answers on questions set by the faculty. A reviewer gives each answer marks out of 10 with written feedback, or returns it with a reason. Each evaluation uses one credit, and a returned answer gets its credit back.

Introduced graduallySome features are introduced gradually; the app's Explore section shows what is available on your account.

A Day 18 review in the Legal Smriti app: score 18 / 25, the reviewer's comment, three numbered suggestions, and "Day 18 complete" with a Continue to Day 19 button.
Sample screen: a reviewed assignment with marks, the reviewer's comment and suggestions.

Practice and revision

Practise in the exam's pattern, revise as you go

Questions with explanations, comprehension passages and timed tests, with your notes, flashcards and the Bare Acts close at hand.

Some features are introduced gradually; the app's Explore section shows what is available on your account.

Practise for the paper

Question practice, passage sets and mock tests. Only you see your scores.

  • Question bank

Multiple-choice questions by subject and topic, one at a time. Check your answer to see the explanation.

  • Comprehension passages

Comprehension practice for CLAT and LAWCET: one passage, then 4 to 6 questions on it. Passage sets appear in the question bank and in tests.

  • Test series

Timed full mocks and sectional tests that follow the exam's marking, including negative marking where the exam uses it. See your score and a topic-by-topic breakdown, review the explanations and try a test again as often as you like.

Revise what you have learnt

Notes, flashcards, the Bare Acts and one search across them.

  • Notes and bookmarks

Keep a private note on any lesson or Bare Act section and bookmark the ones to come back to. All your notes and bookmarks are kept in one place.

  • Flashcards

Decks on legal maxims, key sections, limitation periods, the Constitution and similar topics, in sessions of up to 20 cards. Spaced repetition brings each card back when it is due.

  • Bare Acts

Read selected Bare Act sections chapter by chapter, search them, and find where an old provision, such as an IPC section, now sits in the new code.

  • Search

One search across your open lessons, your own notes and Bare Act sections.

Progress tracking

Track your progress, revisit your mistakes

You see your own progress and scores, never a ranking against other learners.

  • Your progress on Home

Home shows how far you are through your course, today's focus, your next step and your latest feedback. Days you complete build a learning streak.

  • Progress report

    Introduced gradually

Days completed, classes attended and your review marks over time, with the days you scored below 60% marked as worth revisiting, and your accuracy by subject.

  • Mistake book

    Introduced gradually

Questions you last answered wrongly come back here until you answer them correctly.

  • Completion certificate

Complete every day of your course and your completion certificate is printed and posted to the address in your profile.

Introduced graduallySome features are introduced gradually; the app's Explore section shows what is available on your account.
