Overview

About the course

How learning works

How a day works

Every day follows the same steps, in the app or on the website.

  1. Step 1: A new day opens each day

Day 1 opens on the day your payment is confirmed. After that, one new day opens each calendar day, and every open day stays open.

  2. Step 2: Read the lesson

Each day starts with its lesson, which you read at your own pace.

  3. Step 3: Join the live class

Join while it is live, at the time set by the course team. Missed it? Watch the replay, up to 3 times.

  4. Step 4: Submit the assignment

It opens after the class or its replay. Answer every question, then submit once.

  5. Step 5: Get reviewed, complete the day

A reviewer publishes marks, a summary and suggestions. Read them, then tap “Complete Day”.

Notifications tell you about class reminders, new days and feedback that is ready. See how it works

Course structure

Shaped like the selection itself

The course follows the published pattern of the Telangana Junior Civil Judge selection, held by the High Court for the State of Telangana: a screening test, three written papers and a viva-voce.

  1. Stage 1

    Screening test

    100 questions · 2 hours

Objective and computer based. It only shortlists candidates for the written papers; its marks are not counted in the final merit.

  2. Stage 2

    Written papers

    3 papers · 100 marks each

Descriptive: Civil laws, Criminal laws, and English (translation, essay writing, grammar and vocabulary).

  3. Stage 3

    Viva-voce

    30 marks

The final selection is on the aggregate of the civil and criminal papers and the viva-voce.

The syllabus is civil-heavy, and so is the course

  • CPC with the Civil Rules of Practice
  • Contract and Sale of Goods
  • Evidence under the BSA
  • Limitation
  • Transfer of Property
  • Family law
  • BNS and BNSS for the criminal paper

The High Court sets the pattern in each notification, and a later notification may change it. Always check the official notification.

Learning outcomes

  • Practise objective questions for the screening test
  • Write answers for the descriptive written papers, with reviewer feedback
  • Write judgments on short fact patterns

FAQ

Questions about this course

How long is the course, and how do its days open?

The course has 90 days. Day 1 opens on the day your payment is confirmed, and one new day opens each calendar day (India time) after that. Days don't wait for you to finish the previous one, and every day that has opened stays open, so you can catch up at your own pace.

What if I miss a live class?

Each live class runs at a fixed time set by the course team, and you can join it only while it is live, in the app or on the website. If you miss it, you can watch its replay up to 3 times. Replays don't expire, but they are only for classes you missed, and course videos can't be downloaded.

How are assignments reviewed?

The day's assignment opens after you attend the live class or start its replay, or straight away when the day has no live class. Answer every question and submit once: a submitted assignment can't be edited. A reviewer then publishes your marks, a summary and suggestions, and you are notified when the feedback is ready. Reading it and tapping “Complete Day” completes the day.

Do I get a certificate?

Yes. When you have completed every day of the course, a completion certificate is printed and posted to the address in your profile. You can follow its status on your profile.

How much does the course cost?
